Mary Katherine Brown Billingsley 83 of Glasgow died Monday Feb. 12th at NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County the daughter of Patty Oren and Mary Jane Walbert Brown. She was married March 28, 1942 to her husband Quentin Billingsley who died in April of 2006. Katherine was empolyed over 30 years as Secretary for the Glasgow -Barren County Chamber of Commerce and was a member of many civic organizations including the Glasgow Business and Professional Women's Club where she served as President and the Glasgow Garden Club. She was a recipient of the Athena Award, a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include 2 daughters Mary Lynne Powell (Clinton) of Glasgow, Tracy Anne Harder (Bob) of Bowling Green; 7 Grandchildren Michael Maggard of California, Marc Maggard of Florida, Megan Elkins (Danny) of Greensburg, Michele Coop (Kevin) of Glasgow, Chastity Hayes (Justin) of Glasgow and Travis and Amanda Harder of Bowling Green; 3 great grandchildren Hunter Marsh, Hayden Elkins and Caleb Hayes; 2 brothers James Brown (Maxie) of Glasgow and Rev. Kenneth Brown (Joyce) of Glasgow a sister-in-law Betsey Brown of Cave City and several nieces and nephews. A brother Joe Brown preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday February 14, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First United Methodist Church, 500 S. Green St., Glasgow, KY 42141.
