Mary Davis

Mary Louise Glass Davis, 85, of Glasgow, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born June 24, 1923 in Metcalfe County. She was the daughter of James Logan Glass and Zora Ellen Jennings Glass who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, an avid quilter, a devout Christian and member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Faye Davis Anderson and her husband, Billy; a son Harold Wayne Davis and his wife Connie, all of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Tammy Michelle Morgan, Chad Wayne Davis, Jill Lynn Davis Humphrey and Corey Spencer Davis; four step grandchildren, Shelia Renee Botts, Charles Richard Botts, Donna Annette Anderson Bellamy and William Neal Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Faye Morgan, Thatcher Barronton Davis and Hadley Kate Davis; six step-grandchildren, Joshua Allen Runyon, Brooke Nicole Anderson, Clisty Mae Humphrey, Dakota Richard Botts, Emma McKenzie Botts and Pacey Joseph Botts and 3 step great-great-grandchildren, Caleb Andrew Runyon, Cailey Renee Runyon and Caden Ashton Runyon. She is also survived by a sister Ader Louvern Glass Akers and two brothers, Jack Wendell Glass and Stanley Earl Glass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Ernest Davis who died on December 17, 1988. Louise waited four years for Delbert to return from World War II and they were married on September 22, 1945. She was also preceded in death by two children, Wilma Jane Davis and Kenneth Lee Davis and a step grandson, Michael Clay Anderson and three brothers James Rollin Glass, William Donald Glass and Ernest Paul Glass.
