Mary Greer

Mary Kathryn Greer 73 of Glasgow, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Barren County Health Care Center. She was born in Metcalfe County the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Harper Wilson. Mrs. Greer was retired after 40 years of service as a Nurse and was a member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Talmadge E. Greer; a daughter Marlene Freeman and husband Garvin of Glasgow; a son Michael A. Greer and wife Cathy of Murfreesboro, TN; two grandchildren Phillip Freeman and Rachel Greer; two sisters-in-law Ruby Wilson of Center and Barbara J. Wilson of Greensburg and numerous nephews and a niece. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Talmadge E. Greer, Jr. and five brothers, Porter, Clavis, Riley, Paul, and Russell Wilson. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers at Barren County Health Care Center. They are angels. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm Monday at the funeral home and continue Tuesday morning until time for the service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of monetary donations to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to BRAWA.
