Mary W. Hagan, 87, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at home. She was born on March 6, 1932 in Davenport, Iowa to the late Louis Gilbert and Mary Dougherty Weisbrook. Mary was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral parish and the Legion of Mary. She was employed as a sales clerk at Hancock Fabrics, and enjoyed embroidery, reading, word searches and Scrabble. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Gilbert Weisbrook, Jr. Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bernard M. Hagan; her three daughters Geri (Dan) Hagan Kramer of Whitesville, Kentucky, M. Beni (Don) Howell of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Nici (Jon) Kelley of Kokomo, Indiana. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Samantha Brewer, Dana (Eric) Castlen, Zeb (Courtney) Kramer, Trey Howell, Cole Howell and Matthew (Autumn) Kelley; and her 7 great-grandchildren Lucas Kramer, Hadrian Kramer, Abram Kramer, Alex Brewer, Jack Brewer, and Kora Castlen; and her sister, Jane F. Weisbrook of Owensboro, Kentucky. Services will be 9:00 am Monday, July 8, 2019, at St. Stephen Cathedral, with Father Sinoj Pynadath, HGN officiating, with burial Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Prayers will be said at 6:00 pm Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western, Kentucky; 3419 Wathens Crossing; Owensboro, Kentucky 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
