Mary Mudd

Mary Madglene Mudd, 88, of Caneyville, passed away Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.She was born on September 4th, 1926 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Leslie and Mallie (Geary) Decker. Mary was a member of the Pleasant Union Church. She was a homemaker and loving mother. Mary is survived by her son, Clarence Mudd (Brenda) of Louisville; two daughters, Clara Croghan (Richard) and Regenia Hayes both of Caneyville; two brothers, Herbert Decker of Millwood and Harrison Decker of Shepherdsville; two sisters, Mildred Nash of Florida and Alice Decker of Leitchfield; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one step-grandson. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elza Mudd; two brothers, Roosevelt and George Decker and five sisters, Fannie Mudd, Sarah Stinson, Maybell Decker, Ora Travis and Aline Cummings.Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 12th at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Jerry Weedman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Monday after 1:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of service.
