Oleta M. Hatchett 79 of Glasgow died Monday July 20, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Wardlow and Hazel Morrison Harrison. Mrs. Hatchett was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence 'Choppy' Hatchett and a brother Carl Harrison. Oleta was the owner of Oleta's Bookkeeping Service and was a former deputy at the Barren County Clerk's office and also a former county treasurer. She was also the director of the Glasgow Community Developement Agency for serveral years. Mrs. Hatchett was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and was very active in the Kentucky and Barren County Democratic Women's Clubs where she had served as president. Survivors include her daughter Kay Matthews Lile (Don Pierce) of Glasgow; two sons Tim Harrison (Patty) of Glasgow and Paul Jason Hatchett of Dry Fork; 3 grandchildren Kasey Lile and Kelly Lile Jenkins (Jeremy) both of Glasgow and April Harrison Flowers (Robert) of Louisville; 5 great-grandchildren Dakota and River Lile, Jakob and Maya Jenkins and Michael Flowers; 2 sisters Doris Harrison Adams (Tommy) of Shepherdsville and Louise Harrison Britt (Wilbert) of Louisville; a sister-in-law Carol Harrison of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Wednesday July 22, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
