Mary Smith

Mary Frances Smith 92 of Glasgow passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Barren County Health Care Center. The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Charlie and Elva Huffman Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, David B. Smith, Jr. and by her sister, Ruth Nespajohn. She is survived by her son Charles David (Carole) Smith of Glasgow; her daughter Bonnie Carter (Bill) of Gallatin, TN; six loving grandchildren, Marc Carter, Phillip (Leslie) Carter, Buffy Carter, Brent (Julie) Smith, Jenny (Chad) Groce and Lori (Nick) Poynter; 13 adoring Great Grandchildren and a sister Carolyn Strode of Nashville. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a devoted Christian lady with a loving and gentle spirit. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, October 27th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Saturday and Sunday morning until time for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your church or the American Cancer Society.
