Mary Vance

Mary Christine Vance, 88, of Glasgow died Friday October 4, 2013 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late James Carroll Rush and Lovie Mae Archer Rush. Mrs. Vance worked for many years at Handmacher Clothing Factory and later retired as a machine operator for Sorensen's in Glasgow. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include 2 daughters, Patricia Price and Sharron DeWeese both of Glasgow; 1 son Don Vance and wife Rita of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 1 son Jimmy Darrell Vance; 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Sunday October 6, 2013 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Rush Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Saturday at the funeral Home.
