Mary Woodcock

Vernice S. Woodcock 84 of Glasgow, died Monday August 4, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late George and Mamie Shockley Simmons. Mrs. Woodcock was a homemaker and former member of the Temple Hill Homemakers Club. She attended the Gethsemane Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Loyd Woodcock; 1 son Robert Woodcock of Glasgow; 2 daughters Wanda Thurman (Odean) of New Castle, IN and Doris Jean Brown of Dallas, TX; 3 sisters Elnoria Wyatt, Louise Smith and Lillie Wilson (Carlos) all of Glasgow; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister Vera Pennington and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday August 7, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday after 2:00pm and on Thursday from 11:00am until time for the service.
