Maxey Hawks

Maxey R. Wooten Hawks 91 of Greenwood, IN and formally of Barren County died Thursday December 20, 2007 at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood, IN. She was born in Barren County and was the wife of the late Wendell Hawks. She received her BA degree from Western KY University and had been an underwriter for over 30 years for Farm Bureau Insurance Co. in Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of the Garfield Park Baptist Church and she enjoyed reading and jig-saw puzzles. She is survived by two brothers James Renick Wooten of Whiteland, IN and Billy Joe Moore of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Frances Hawks and Henrietta Moore. There will be a graveside service 3:00pm Sunday December 23, 2007 at the Henderson Cemetery at Finney. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
