Michael (Mike) Lynn White, 67, of Munfordville, formerly of Glasgow, died Thursday following a brief illness. Mike and his wife of 47 years, Beverley, lived most of their lives in Glasgow. The only son of Juanita and George White, formerly of Paragould, AR, Mike was born at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas while his father was on active duty in the U.S. Army. The family lived in Arkansas and Georgia prior to moving to Glasgow, where Mike grew up and attended school. A 1972 graduate of Glasgow High School, Mike met his high school sweetheart, Beverley, also a GHS grad, the two married, made a home in Glasgow and spent many years working and volunteering in the community. He took pride in saying that over his years of service for the PVA, he had an opportunity to visit every home in Barren County at least once. Mike also worked at Eaton/Dana for 35 years, and T.J. Samson Hospital for 2 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and quality time at home with Beverley and their Labrador fur babies Lucy and Macey, who were the loves of his life. Over the years, Mike rode a Honda Goldwing, was an excellent archer, loved boating, camping and shooting. He was an avid supporter of the Second Amendment. Mike was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church, the Barren River Rod and Gun Club, and the NRA.
