Michael Morgan

Michael Wayne Morgan 60 of Slick Rock, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late John and Verna Pickett Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a farmer and was a member of the H.B. Grant #610 Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife Jan; a son John Michael 'Tobe' Morgan and wife Kara of Slick Rock; a daughter Sara Russell and husband Kelly of Slick Rock; three grandchildren who he loved and adored, Marley Russell, Micah Claire Russell and Gunner Levi Morgan; two brothers Richard Morgan of Bloomfield, KY and James Morgan of Boston, KY; two sisters Shelby Bush and husband Rondal of Slick Rock and Carolyn Sturgeon and husband Bryant of Cave City; a sister-in-law Shirley Morgan of Slick Rock and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Leonard Edward Morgan, a nephew Scott Allen Morgan and a sister-in-law Virginia Nell Morgan. Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday, October 30th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Morgan Family Cemetery at Slick Rock. Visitation will begin at 3pm Tuesday. Visitation will begin at 3pm Tuesday. Masonic rites provided by the H.B. Grant Lodge, will be held 7:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home and the public is welcome to attend.
