Michael Ray Hammer Sr.

Michael "Mike" Ray Hammer Sr., 70, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born March 31, 1953, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Royce Dicken Hammer and Ruby Nell Hammer (Brown). Mike was an extremely hard worker and had a great love for motorcycles. Survivors include daughter-Shelly Kirby (Brian); Son-Justin Hammer (Ruby Waters); daughter- Alyssa Cox (Travis); son-Buddy Hammer; daughter-Jenny Hammer; six grandchildren: Elijah Kirby, Shanna Kirby, Nicholas Kirby, Bentley Miller, Harley Miller, and Raelynn Jean Hammer; Shirley Tate- sister; David Hammer- brother; Doug Houchens-lifelong friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Johnny Hammer and his sister Sarah Soards. The funeral service for Mr. Hammer will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 19th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery in Tompkinsville, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 18th, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning until time for the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in contribution to Mr. Hammers funeral expenses. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Hammer.
