Michael Turner Houchens

August 1, 1943 — April 21, 2021

Michael Turner Houchens, 77, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Glasgow on August 1, 1943, to the late Turner Houchens and Christine Taylor Houchens. Michael was a truck driver and mechanic for Manning Motors. He loved to fish and be outside, most any afternoon you could find him working on his Massey Ferguson tractor or working in his garden. He had a talent for picture framing and farming. But the thing he enjoyed most was the love he had for his family. Survivors include his companion of 22 years, Judy Lindsey; 3 daughters, Karen Sizemore (Richard), Sharon Lucas, and Linda Pedigo all of Columbus, IN; 3 sons, Michael Houchens, Jr., Ronnie Houchens, and Tony Houchens all of Columbus, IN; 1 stepson, Allen Martin; 2 stepdaughters, Tammy Hughes and Sandy Martin; several grand and greatgrandchildren to include two special grandchildren, Zoe Wood and Madison Hupp; 1 brother, Charles Houchens (Janet) of Columbus, IN; 3 sisters, Sandra Brockman, Susie Burns and Charlene Houchens of Columbus, IN. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Phillis Shrum. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Tuesday, April 27th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday morning until time for service. All those who wish to honor and remember Michael in person at the visitation must wear a mask or other facial covering and practice social distancing while inside the funeral home for safety of those in attendance.
