Mildred Brassell

Ann Brassell 77 of Glasgow, died suddenly Tuesday January 10, 2012 at her home. She was born in Dickson, TN the daughter of the late George and Mildred Johnson Radford. Her husband was the late Walter Jordan Brassell. Mrs. Brassell was a graduate of Dickson County High School and locally was a former employee of Ovada Ward Photography. She was very active in the community as a member of the YMCA, the Samsonites, and the D.A.V. Chapter 20 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also an active member of the Columbia Ave. Church of Christ where she enjoyed helping in visits with the sick and shut-ins. Survivors include her children, Kerry Stiles (Kathy) of Franklin, TN, Kim Wheeler (John) of Hopkinsville, KY, step-daughters Vickie Tuck (Tim) of Simpsonville, SC and Jennifer Leslie of Tampa, FL; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister Sherry Swanson (Bob) of Winter Haven, FL; 2 brothers Wayne Radford (Madeline) of Wartrace, TN and George Allen Radford of Nashville; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend and companion Bill Whited of Glasgow. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Columbia Ave. Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Thursday from 5pm until 8pm and Friday at the church from 1pm until time for the service. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville on Saturday at 1:00pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to either the American Heart Assn. or the D.A.V. Chapter 20 Ladies Auxiliary.
