Mildred "Meme" Virginia Shaw

Mildred Virginia Shaw “Meme”, age 76, of Glasgow, passed away, Thursday, August 1, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Glasgow on September 15, 1947, to the late Hade Jones and the late Mary Ethel (Shaw) Jones. She was the owner of Southern Grocery and Deli and MJK Feed Meal. She was a member of River Lake Church.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Keely Williams (Jedidiah); great granddaughter, Kinely Cotton; sister, Shelia Shaw (Randy); several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Shaw; daughter, Julie Jay Shaw; sisters, Betty Harlow, Barbara Brown, Ellen Flowers, Judy Fields, and Sharon Davis; brothers, Wayne Jones, Jerry Jones, and Mike Jones.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 6th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday and Tuesday morning until time for the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Barren River Animal Welfare Association (BRAWA) or River Lake Church.
