Moody Word

Moody Word 84 of Summer Shade, KY died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at his residence. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Thomas Howard and Ettie Bartley Word. Mr. Word was a member of the Refuge Church of Christ and a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 60yrs Emogene Ramey Word of Summer Shade; a son Tommy Word & wife Lanell of Summer Shade; a daughter Tina Harlow & husband Joe Harlow, Jr. of Glasgow; three grandchildren Stacy Fergerson and husband Trent of Bowling Green and Amanda & Megan Word both of Summer Shade; a great grandson Spencer Toms of Bowling Green; Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers Mitchell, Malcolm and Milby Word and two sisters Mauree Crabtree and Myrtle Bonner. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, October 30, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
