Myrtie Staples

Myrtie M. Staples 67 of Glasgow died Thursday at her home. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late John Thomas Staples and Martha Jane Goad Staples. Ms. Staples had resided in Seymor, IN for 25 years before returning to Glasgow. She was a Home Health Aid and a sitter for the elderly. Survivors include 2 brothers John Walker Staples of Bowling Green, KY and Stanley E. Staples of Seymor, IN; 1 sister Lula Belle Whitlow of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews including Doris Moore and Mike Whitlow who were her caregivers. Three sisters Estelle Dial, Katherine O'Dell and Emergene Dial preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 1pm Monday December 22, 2003 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Defever Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2pm Sunday at the funeral home.
