Nadine Day Lewis 78 of Glasgow died Wednesday February 21, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born Sept. 19, 1928 in Sassafras, KY in Knott County. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was church treasurer for a number of years. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Austin Homemakers for over 50 years and was the former Co-owner and operator of the Old Fort Restaurant for 14 years. She was also a former cook at the Barren River State Park, Barren County High School and the Barren County Health Care Facility. She is survived by her husband Corbin; 3 daughters Barbara Matthews (David), Janet Sadler and Pam Waters all of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Bobbie Jo Dubree (Terry), William Elmore (Tabitha), Scott Sadler (Sam), Tony Sadler, Shane Lewis, Sarah Lewis and Ashley Waters; 11 great grandchildren Jennifer Gaunce, Haley Jo Lewis, Will, Abby and Katie Elmore, Natalie Simpson (Brent), Cody and Cierra Dubree, Tyler Sadler, Jordan Sadler and Jasmine Bates. Also surviving is one great great grandchild Allison Grace Simpson; a sister Lois Mullins (James) of Glasgow; a sister in law Ruby Lewis (Willie) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Ralph C. Lewis, her parents Lewis and Elizabeth Ashley Day; two brothers Chris and Lewis Day Jr. and a sister Yvonne Day. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday February 24th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
