Nelda Thomas

Nelda Elizabeth Cox Thomas 75 of Glasgow, KY died Friday December 12, 2003 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late William Miles Cox and Inez Sympson Cox. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Glasgow Bible Church and owned and operated Nelda's Drapery Shop. She was also a graduate of Temple Hill High School. Survivors include her husband Preston Thomas; a daughter Fannie Wood and husband Ronnie of Glasgow; 2 granddaughters Kellie Wood of Glasgow and Emily Dickson and husband Wesley of Glasgow; 2 sisters Frances (Tom) Cooper of Glasgow and Lucille Short of Jeffersonville, IN; 5 brothers Wendell (Elizabeth) Cox of Glasgow, Glenn (Margaret) Cox of Glasgow, Arnold (Audrey) Cox of Glasgow, Don (Louise) Cox of Glasgow and Billy (Abby) Cox of Indiana. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday December 15, 2003 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 6pm Saturday December 13th at the Funeral Home.
