Nell Perkins

Nell Perkins 91 of Glasgow, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Summer Shade, KY the daughter of the late Virgil and Nona Syree Whitlow. Mrs. Perkins was the owner and operator of Nell's Art Gallery and loved to work in her garden and especially with her roses. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday school class. Survivors include her son Maurice Perkins and wife Charlotte of Glasgow; her daughter Sandy Johnson and husband Eugene of Glasgow; five grandchildren Randy (Mary) Perkins of Glasgow, Jeff (Teresa) Perkins of Franklin, Laura (Scott) Griggs of Louisville, Stacey (Rick) Hughes of Bowling Green and Dan (Renna Kay) Pedigo of Glasgow; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister Jean Johnston of Edmonton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tristram Edwin Perkins and two brothers Wayne and Don Whitlow. Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, December 6th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 3pm Thursday.
