Nina Brown

Nina McCandless Brown 95 of Glasgow died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Diversicare of Glasgow. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Hayden Brockman McCandless and Lucy Ella Shoopman McCandless. Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. Brown, a grandson James Clay Ward and seven brothers and sisters. She was a former employee of Glenview Health Care and had attended Immanuel Baptist Church. She had a passion for quilt making and had won several prize ribbons at the Kentucky State Fair. She also enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Survivors include her three daughters, Ruth Martin and husband Greg of Glasgow, Shirley Keys Bruce of Louisville and Barbara Ward and husband Alan of Lexington; 9 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 11th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00.
