Nina Shaw

Nina Jewell Shaw 85 of Glasgow died Wednesday December 28, 2005 at her home. Mrs. Shaw was born in Monroe County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Dan Basil and Pearl Branham Basil. She was a homemaker and was married to the late Ewing Palmore Shaw. She is survived by 6 sons, Joe Shaw of Edmonton, Allen (Linda) Shaw of Glasgow, Charles Shaw of Glasgow, Ted (Ilene) Shaw of Pennsylvania, Russell Shaw of Cave City, Dennis (Gail) of Edmonton; 10 daughters, Paricia (Harry) Landers of Glasgow, Peggy Brown of Edmonson County, Mary Elmore of Louisville, Faye (Jimmie) Wood of Smiths Grove, Rita (Charles) Frazier of Cave City, Connie (Terry) Poindexter & Linda (Charles) Holman both of Glasgow, Sandy (Mike) Duncan of Edmonton, Monica Shaw of Glasgow, and Tonya (Adrian) Valdivia of Nashville; 2 brothers, Gene Basil of Bowling Green and Butch Basil of Edmonton; 6 sisters, Bela Turner of Flippin, KY, Lauree McKee of Louisville, Eloise Cash of Park City, Barbara Shank of Indianapolis, Peggy Cowles of Brownsville and Antonia Galin of Largo, Florida; 34 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sister, Juanita Poynter and Inez Pedigo, 2 brothers Remis & Ralph Basil and a grandson Terry Lee Poindexter. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Friday December 30, 2005 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
