Nona Bowles

Nona Irene Bowles 94 of Glasgow died Sunday February 3, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Metcalfe County she was the daughter of the late Jobe and Ida Turner Gassaway and the wife of the late Reuben Willie Bowles. Mrs. Bowles was a member of the Wisdom Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Metcalfe County. Survivors include 1 son Elton Bowles (Geneva) of Glasgow 1 daughter Jeanette Nelson of Louisville, 6 grandchildren Sharon Coomer (Phillip) Bowling Green, Michael Bowles (Leonor) Glasgow, Shelia Fields (Gary) Glasgow, Anita Love (Mark) Edmonton, Rhonda Smith (Charlie) Indianapolis, IN, Gary Gray (Teresa) Louisville, 15 Great Grandchildren, 14 Great-Great Grandchildren, 1 brother-in-law Ernest Bowles (Helen) of Glasgow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Leslie and Harry Gassaway, 2 infant brothers & 2 sisters Adele Mitchell and Mary Bryant. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Visitation will be after 2 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the funeral home.
