Norma Gail Steen: Gail (Nannie) Steen 74 died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Bowling Green after an extensive battle with cancer. She was born in Barren County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Harmon Hall Johnson and Lorena Pearl Johnson. Gail was a secretary for the Caverna school system for many years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and watching sports, especially tennis and UK basketball. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Betty Lou Gibbons. She is survived by one daughter, Glee Lenoir; one son, Henry Burks Steen, III (Buddy) both of Bowling Green, and 6 grandchildren, Sarah Steen Bessinger, Allison Steen, Craig Lenoir, Jennifer Lenoir, Jessica Lenoir, and Andrea Lenoir, and three brothers Harmon "Jr." Johnson of Glasgow, Larry Johnson of Nashville, and C.L. Johnson of Social Circle. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, February 4th at the A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 5pm Wednesday and continue Thursday from 9am until time for the service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
