Nova Witty Moore 92 of Glasgow died Wednesday April 15, 2009 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. The Barren County native was the daughter of the late James Rastus Witty and Mary Isabell Hood Witty and the wife of the late Philip R. Moore. She worked in the lunchroom at Happy Valley Elementery School for many years and attended the Temple Baptist Church in Glasgow. Survivors include four children, Linda G. Settle (John) of Temple Hill, Jackie D. Moore (Marie) of Hopkinsville, Gary L. Moore (Joyce) of Glasgow and Marla M. Calvert (Wayne) of Conover, NC; six grandchildren, Jeff A. Settle (Honor) of Temple Hill, Joy Settle Denton (Dana) of Bowling Green, Jason D. Moore of Quantico, VA, Michael C. Moore (Guergana) of Bowling Green, Jonathan E. Calvert of Washington DC, and Byron P. Calvert of Conover, NC; five great-granddaughters, Ella, Mollie, Sally and Priscilla Settle of Temple Hill and Sydney Denton of Bowling Green. Also surviving are three sisters, Mary P. Stephens, Thelma (Cricket) Huckabee and Ruth Edwards and one sister-in-law Wanda W. Witty all of Glasgow. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters Saundra Fay and Carol Ann Moore, four brothers, Dennis, Bernice, Alpha and Hascal Witty and two sisters Effie Barrett and Velma Chenoweth. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Sunday until time for the service.
