Olin Abston

Olin Glen Abston 82 of Glasgow died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County he was the son of the late Charlie Perk & Ethel Mae Bradley Abston. Mr. Abston attended the Bethel Independent Baptist Church and was retired from Dickerson Lumber Company after 47 years. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Rachel Lou 'Jean' Elmore Abston of Glasgow; a daughter Teresa Robertson & husband Ronnie of Glasgow; two brothers Alton Abston & wife Alta of Glasgow and Marvin Abston & wife Verna of Smiths Grove; 2 sisters Velma Rich & husband Charles of Franklin, IN and Hazel Morgan of Glasgow and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Zola Mae Wood and Helen Morgan, a brother Rondall Abston and two brothers-in-law Willard Wood and Wendell Morgan. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Saturday at the funeral home.
