Oliver Mccoy

Oliver Richard McCoy 87 of Cave City died Saturday 3-5-05 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County the son of the Late C.C. and Emma F. Morgan McCoy and was married to Dorothy Jean Bledsoe McCoy. He was a retired farmer and an Army Veteran. He was a member of DAV Chapter 20 where he served as Judge Advocate for the chapter and was an active member of the D.A.V. Honor Guard. Mr. McCoy was a member of the Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jean McCoy of Cave City: 3 sisters Mattie B. Buster of Glasgow, Dorothy Owens and husband Charles of CA. and Blondell Gibbons and husband Waldo of Cave City: 2 brothers Charlie McCoy and wife Louise and Roger McCoy and wife Wandaline both of Glasgow. Several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. McCoy will be 2:00 PM Tuesday 3-8-05 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mililtary services will be conducted by DAV Chapter 20.
