Oma Bailey

Oma Lugene Bailey 90 of Glasgow died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Summer Shade, KY she was the daughter of the late Radford Bartley and Rosetta Crabtree Bartley and wife of the late Edwin Bailey. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First Church of God in Glasgow. Survivors include a son Jimmy E. Bailey (Maxine) of Glasgow; a daughter Martha Lou Simms of Louisville; 4 grandchildren Teresa Mode (Dennis) of Texas, Tracy Nations (Brad) of Louisville, KY, Jeremy Napier (Tinisha) of Austin, KY and Tara Bailey of Glasgow; 9 great grandchildren Christina & Ashley Mode, Lucas & Bailey Hill, Jason, Justin & Jennifer Simms, Sierra Napier and Taryn Hicks and 4 great great grandchildren; a sister Olene Matthews (Clifton) of Glasgow; a brother Turner Bartley (Joann) of Summer Shade; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a grandson Todd Simms, a son-in-law Mitchell Simms, a brother Otha Bartley and 2 sisters Opal Jordan and Nell Sampson. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, May 11, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
