Opal Harlow

Opal Jean Harlow 68 of Glasgow died Friday morning January 28, 2005 at her home. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late Chester R. Goode and Hattie Pauline Read Goode. She was a retired Dietitian at the Glasgow State ICF Hospital. Survivors include her husband Raymond Lawrence Harlow, 3 sons Jerry Birge and wife Tommie, Ronnie Birge and wife Debbie and Rex Harlow all of Glasgow; a step daughter Debbie Shackleford and husband Jim of Lexington, KY; 7 grandchildren Jeremy Birge, Kathy Murray (Maxie), Jonathan Birge and fiancee'Miranda Barrow, Brandon Birge, Adam Birge, Jamie Shackleford and Paige Shacleford; 2 great grandchildren Madison and Kaden Murray and several nieces and nehews. She was also preceded in death by a brother Charles Walter 'C.W.' Goode and a sister Rebecca 'Suckie' Vincent. Funeral services will be held 4:00pm Sunday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:30pm Saturday.
