Opal Miles

Opal Elizabeth Miles 81 of Glasgow died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. Born in Metcalfe Co. she was the daughter of the late Leonard & Cora Dilley Thompson and wife of the late Roger Miles. Mrs. Miles was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a former employee of Sorensen Mfg. and T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Survivors include a Daughter Vickie Mathews (Terry) of Glasgow; a son Jimmy Miles (Terri) of Glasgow; 3 grandchildren Wesley Miles of Glasgow, Melissa Logsdon (Jeremy) of Massachusetts and Justin Mathews (Jennifer) of Bowling Green; a sister-in-law Leni Thompson of Glasgow; a niece and 2 nephews Cora Thompson of Bardstown, George Thompson of Glasgow and Joe W. Thompson of Summer Shade. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Howard and Willard Thompson. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
