Orel Proffitt

Orel 'Dick' Proffitt 94 of Bowling Green, KY died Monday October 24, 2011 at his residence. Born in Monroe Co. he was the son of the late Brockett and Rowena Dickerson Proffitt. Mr. Proffitt was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army and retired from General Motors. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and many other friends and relatives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
