Orville Carter

Orville Bishop 'PaPaw' Carter 89 of Glasgow died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. Born in Scottsville, KY he was the son of the late Sam & Amanda Carter and husband of the late Virginia Chitwood Carter. Mr. Carter was a member of the Valley Station Baptist Church and was retired from General Electric in Louisville, KY. He was also a veteran serving in the U. S. Army. Survivors include 2 sons Eddie Carter & wife Carolyn of Glasgow and Willard Carter of Burkesville, KY; a daughter Shirley McGee of Chicago, IL; 6 grandchildren Kristen, Tammy, Greg, Diane, Jacob and Kitty; he is also survived by his special lake family at Peninsula Marina. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville, KY. Visitation will be after 10:00am Tuesday at the funeral home.
