Orville Vibbert, “Jr.”, 91, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at his residence. He was born May 18, 1933 in Monroe County, Kentucky to the late Orville Vibbert and Laura Sprawls Vibbert. Jr. was a lifelong farmer and loved driving his tractor. He was also a mechanic, tree trimmer, and a jack of all trades. He loved hunting, trapping, fishing, shooting, antiquing, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Jr. was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 ½ years, Betty Vibbert; one daughter, Tammy G. Phillips (Donald Bartley); two granddaughters, Alice Bybee (Kenneth) and Whitney Hurt (Kasey); one great grandson, Waylon Bybee; his faithful canine companion, Trixie; one sister, Elvie Coulter; ex son-in-law, David Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Jean Poynter, Bobby Vibbert, Fay Vibbert, Quenton Vibbert, Wendell Vibbert, and Ralph Vibbert.
The funeral service for Mr. Vibbert will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 4th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
