Ottie Arterburn 83 of Glasgow died Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Born in Monroe Co. he was the son of the late McKinley & Altie Key Arterburn. Mr. Arterburn was a member of the VFW Post #5906 and a AFLCIO Union Member. He was also a Veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife Lillian Hammett Arterburn of Glasgow; 2 daughters Elizabeth Woosley (Barry) of Bowling Green and Cheryl Hunt (Roger) of Glasgow; a son Danny Arterburn of Tompkinsville; 2 sisters Ezma Crowe of Tompkinsville, KY and Dean Short of Beech Grove, IN; 5 grandchildren Danny Woosley, Tommy Woosley, April Turner, MacRhae Arterburn and Amber Hunt; 3 great grandchildren Ashley and Abbie Woosley and Mason Turner; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Fred Arterburn. Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Neal Cemetery at Flippin, KY. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
