Owen Cottrell

Owen David Cottrell lost his long battle with cancer at the age of 46 on February 17, 2016 at his home. He was born October 8, 1969 in Louisville, KY the son of Russell & Nancy Jane Jewell Cottrell. He was a steel erector for 8 years and spent 10 years at Baillie Lumber as a fork lift operator. He is survived by his wife, Stefanie Hodges-Cottrell, two young sons. Skyler Cottrell & Timothy Duvall and one daughter, Ashlynn Newton, three grandchildren, Cierra, Levi, & Raelynn Minton, four brothers, Harold Cottrell, Kent Brooks, Glenie Cottrell, & Carl Owen and three sisters, Rita Saltsman, Charlotte Cottrell, & Angie Duvall. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday (February 19, 2016) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Cottrell Cemetery in Hart County. Visitation will be held after 3:00 p.m., Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
