Patsy Smith

Patsy Jean 'Mema' Smith 74 of Glasgow died Friday January 23, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Chester Edward Bishop and Anna Mae Furlong Bishop. Patsy was an employee of New Farmers National Bank and had more recently worked for Little Rascal Day Care. She enjoyed reading, children, babysitting and sports and never missed a ballgame. She was a member of the Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband Clifton Smith; 3 sons Eddie Smith (Wanda), Tim Smith and Doug Smith (Jackie) all of Glasgow; 1 daughter Melinda Ballard (Dave) of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren Josh Smith, Christopher (Natasha) Smith, Jon (Stacey) Smith, Ashleigh (Macy) Grubbs, Kellen Smith, Tyler (Amanda) Sherfey, Kristen Smith and Lucas Jones; 5 step grandchildren Tim (Nicole) Goad, Kim (Richard) Wheat; and Ty, Ann Douglas and Brynn Springer; 9 great grandchildren Eli, Blaine, Adison, Clarise, Elijah, Kamden, Konner, Raegan and Aiden; 1 brother Chester Bishop (Doris) of Glasgow; 2 sisters Joyce Matthews (Bill) of Bowling Green and Joanna Atkinson (Joe) of Fairbanks, Alaska and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday January 26th at 7:00pm at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00am until time for the service.
