Paul Proffitt

Paul Wesley Proffitt 86 of Cave City, KY died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his home. He was born in Cave City a son of the late Hiley J. and Ella Gramlin Proffitt. Mr. Proffitt was a farmer and a carpenter and was a former manager of Houchens Grocery. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ and had served as an Elder and song leader. Currently he was attending the Cave City Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wanda Taylor Proffitt; 2 daughters Paulette Ross (Fowler) of Tompkinsville and Kathy Lowe (Jimmy) of Glasgow; 1 son Daryl Proffitt (Kim) of Louisville; 6 grandchildren Sonya Green (Bryant), Jenny Buie (Shane), Brad Lowe (Jamie), Sarah Owens (Josh), McKenzie Cox (Jordan) and Wesley Proffitt; 10 very special great grandchildren; 1 sister Katherine Thomason of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kayln Proffitt; 2 sisters Zada Mansfield and Christine Kinslow and 5 brothers Charles, Ray, Alvin, Orval and James Proffitt. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, June 3rd at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm and Wednesday from 9am until time for services. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to T. J.
