Pearl Farris

Pearl Donna Farris, 87, of Caneyville, passed away Friday, August 30th, 2013 at her residence. She was born on June 19th, 1926 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Abe and Hulda (Hayes) Higgs. Pearl was a housewife and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Pearl is survived by her son, Abrin Farris of Caneyville; two granddaughters, Leigh Farris of Campbellsburg, KY and Jennifer Farris of Louisville; one great granddaughter, Jourdan Farris also of Louisville; one brother, Shelby Higgs of Vine Grove; and two sisters, Dean Beasley of Louisville and Shirley Embry of Leitchfield. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sol Farris and two brothers, Raymond and Delbert Higgs. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. JoJo Watson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Caney Creek Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
