Peggy Maxine Pritchard

August 24, 1933 — November 6, 2024

Peggy Maxine Hall Pritchard, 91, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on November 6, 2024. Peggy was born on August 24, 1933, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Jordan and Jewel Edmonson Hall.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 72 years, William “Billy” Pritchard, whom she met on a blind date in 1950. She was devoted to her family and is survived by two loving children– Janet Bradford (Scott) of Glasgow, KY; and Glenn Pritchard (Lora), also of Glasgow. Memories of “Pebby” will be fondly cherished by her four grandchildren: Sarah Bradford Andrews (Matt) of Tampa Bay, Florida; Alison Prichard (Joe) of Glasgow, KY; Tiffany Pritchard Bard (Jamie) of Paris, TN; and Jordan Pritchard (Alexis) of Glasgow, KY. Her legacy will be carried on by two great grandchildren, Cade and Lee Prichard, of whom she was inordinately proud and always ready to brag on.

For over a year, Peggy received excellent care from two special caregivers, Nancy Isenburg and Christy Shackles.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by Billy’s parents, Roger and Delva Frazier Pritchard and her eldest daughter, Vicki Marlese Pritchard whom she cherished.

She has been a faithful member of South Green Street church of Christ since she moved to Glasgow. She loved her church family dearly and, for decades, served its members by teaching Sunday School classes, preparing meals, and even housing a host of summer youth interns.

Peggy was a lady of many talents. And though she did everything well, her culinary skills were unparalleled. Creating southern fare with a pinch of this and a dash of that, Peggy hosted countless family gatherings, festive Christmas breakfasts, and “small” Sunday dinners, each of which included at least ten delectable dishes and a variety of desserts.

A funeral service for Peggy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 9, from 4:00 p.m.to 7 p.m. All family and friends are encouraged and invited to attend the celebrations of her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Green Street Church of Christ.
