Phillip Henry Clements, 63, of Shrewsbury passed away Saturday, August 15th, 2015 surrounded by his wife and family at his home after battling cancer. He enjoyed riding his Rhino around the countryside and spending time outdoors. He retired after working 37 years in the gas fields. Phillip was born on Thursday, January 10th, 1952 to the late Howard Ray and Alene (Albro) Clements, one of nine children. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ora Mae (McStoots) Clements and three daughters, Shellie (Higdon) Clemons (Chad), Leandra (Higdon) Dennis (Sammy) and Leslie (Clements) Jaggers (Terry). Phillip is also survived by a grandson that they raised, Kevin Higdon (Bridget); four grandsons, Daniel Whobrey Higdon, Isacc Clemons, Calvin Dennis and Tyler Jaggers; five granddaughters, Samantha Clemons, Tasha Lindsey (Jullian), Shi Whitman (Brandon), Kaleb and Riley Jaggers, four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Higdon and Chase and Khade Whitman. He is also survived by a very special niece that was like a daughter, Stacie Shelton (Danny) and their two children, Miranda and Trisha; one brother, David Clements (Liz); five sisters, Agnes Day (Glenn), Alta Woosley (KO), Rosie Whobrey (Harold), Judy Clark (Charlie) and Wanda Beatty (Mike) and one aunt, Irene Albro.Other than his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by his two brothers, Sherman Clements (Linda) and Don Clements (Sue). Funeral Services will be at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Wednesday, August 19th, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Bro Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shrewsbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home after 11:00 am Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
