Porter Jackson

Porter Franklin Jackson 90 of Glasgow, KY died Sunday March 7, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Barren County the son of the late William and Mary Furlong Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a Baptist and had retired from the Sorensen Manufacturing Co.. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Alma Houchens Jackson; 2 daughters Janice Short and husband Roger of Glasgow and Arlene Lockhart and husband Elwood of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren Kim Lockhart Miller and husband Lamar of Oakland, KY, Chad Lockhart and wife Amanda of Glasgow, Greg Short and fiancee Stephanie Trent of Hardyville and Chris Short and wife Pamela of Horse Cave; 6 great grandchildren Savanh Jackson, Gabrielle, Dillon, Allison and Lynsey Short and Jonah Miller and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers Harvey, Paul and Jim Jackson and two sisters Nina Kellogg and Bertie Parker preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday March 9, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00am Monday at the funeral home.
