Preston Garrett

Preston 'Pete' Garrett 77 of Glasgow, KY died Friday April 9, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late Henry and Meda White Garrett and husband of the late Virginia Lee Vibbert Garrett. Pete was retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Co. after 45 years and was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He attended the Beech Grove Baptist Church at Eighty Eight, KY. He is survived by his daughter Ellen Deckard and husband Troy of Glasgow; his granddaughter Bethany Deckard of Danville, KY; a brother Paul Garrett of Summer Shade, KY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, two brothers Carl and James Garrett preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday April 12, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pm Sunday at the funeral home.
