Lawrence Buckley 79 of Glasgow died Thursday May 21, 2009 at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Brent and Lockie Katherine Carder Buckley. Lawrence was a life-long farmer and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Betty Jean Britt Buckley; 1 son Steve Buckley and wife Melissa of Glasgow; 1 daughter Carol Kaye Bragg and husband Wayne of Glasgow; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law Rutha Buckley Tenry of Glasgow and Mildred Buckley Hamilton of Crawfordsville, IN and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother Addie Lois Whitlow Buckley, two sisters Lida Mae McGuire and Lucille Adwell and three brothers Kenneth, James and Alva Buckley. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday May 23, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Friday at the funeral home.
