Raymond Lee Harper, 75, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at his residence. He was born January 21, 1948 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Robert Harper and Winnie Smith Harper. Raymond was a custodian of South Green Elementary School for 12 years and loved working with the children. He also loved astronomy, building telescopes, woodworking, and most of all, his family. Raymond was a devoted member of the Glasgow Wesleyan Church and a proud United States Air Force veteran.
Survivors include one son, Michael Harper; one daughter, Marsha Walker (Stacy); two grandchildren, Cassady Lorenzo (Cameron) and Trevor Walker (Raelynn); four great grandchildren, Adelina Lorenzo, Laketon Lorenzo, Tatum Walker, Sutton Walker; one sister, Maxine Ogles (Russy); one brother, Wayne Harper (Vivian); one sister-in-law, Carolyn Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Harper; one sister, Lois Whitley (Cliff) and one brother, Buddy Harper.
The funeral service for Mr. Harper will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 4th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by DAV Chapter #20.
