Raymond Ranes

Raymond Lester Ranes 63 of Cave City, KY died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the V. A. Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Tracy & Christine Wood Ranes. Mr. Ranes served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Conflict and was employed by Mammoth Cave National Park for 36 years. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Tammy Ranes of Cave City, KY; three daughters Amy Runyon of Cave City, Diane Hatcher of Glasgow, Tracy Ranes (Steven Woodcock) of Edmonson Co.; a foster daughter Tammy Spainhoward of Bowling Green, KY; a sister Geraldine Tarry (James) of Glasgow; nine grandchildren Matthew Kelly & Cheyenne Runyon of Cave City, Mia Hammer & Xander Inman of Glasgow, Aidan Hatcher of Franklin, KY, Austin Ranes, Cole Cowles (Jennifer) and Jake Woodcock of Edmonson Co., Joseph Spainhoward of Bardstown, KY and Bobby Spainhoward of Bowling Green; several grand kids, Nieces, nephews and two great grandchild also survive. No services are scheduled at this time. Mr. Ranes chose cremation.
