Reba C. Houchens 94 of Glasgow and formerly of Cooktown, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. Born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late Napoleon Ellis and Ida Elmore Ellis Wright. Mrs. Houchens was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Point Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters Nell Taylor (A.R.) of Glasgow, Emma Harvey of Austin and Rose Christie of Glasgow; 6 grandchildren Wanda Turner (Terry), Michelle Harvey, Marshall Houchens, Kim Taylor, Darren Taylor (Special friend Donna Peden) and Sarah Christie; 4 great-grandchildren Ben and Zack Turner, Brittany Taylor and Tristin Christie; 3 step great-grandchildren Chase Bailey, Jeff Christie and Jennifer Thurman and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Georgie H. Houchens, a sister Minnie Bell Shoopman, a brother Lucian Ellis and 3 half-brothers Herbert, Elbert and Lesley Ellis. Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, November 21st at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon Wednesday.
