Reggie Allen Hammer 75 of Glasgow died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at his home. Born in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Ferry White Hammer and Mary Bell Ross Hammer. Mr. Hammer was a truck driver for Venture Express for 10 years and for 18 years was an employee of L&N Railroad. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Peters Creek Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing Rook with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Mary Lois Hope Hammer; 2 sons Lee Allen Hammer of Lucas and Reggie Ray Hammer (Jennifer) of Bowling Green; 3 grandchildren Brooke, Bodie and Blaise Hammer; 1 brother Rex Hammer of Arkansas; 3 sisters Elizabeth Smith of Owensboro, Modelle Cloyd of Mattoon, IL and Helen Payne of Mt. Hermon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother Royce D. Hammer and a sister Kathleen Hendrick. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 26th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow, will be in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Friday.
