Reva Embry age 89 of Prospect, KY was born December 13, 1922 and passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.She was the loving wife of Essia Embry, who preceded her in death, and a very loving mother and grandmother.She was born in Butler County, Ky to parents Nat and Cora Lee Phelps who also precede her in death. Also preceding her in death are sons Dallas and Donnie Embry, sister Ruby Phelps Carter, and brothers Lawrence, Sherman, and JW Phelps. She leaves behind to cherish her memory children Lisa Embry Thielmeier (Kenny) of Prospect, KY whom she had lived with the past eight years, Janice Embry Comley (Dennis) of Louisville, Odis Embry (Debbie) of Louisville, Bobby Embry (Joanna) of Hodgenville, KY, Margie Embry Bilewicz (Tony) of Louisville, Judy Embry Stone (Thurman) of Louisville, and Mayron Embry Hayes (Adrian) of Brandenburg, KY. 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren also survive her. Visitation will be at Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville, KY from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm C.S.T Wednesday (March, 28, 2012) and from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. The funeral will be at Welches Creek Union General Baptist Church at 1:00 pm C.S.T. Thursday (March 29, 2012) with interment in the Welches Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all who have helped take care of Mom the past eight years, especially Runnell Childress, who Mom thought so much of and loved like a sister.
