Rex Bartley

Rex Bartley 83 of Glasgow died Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home. He was the son of the late Ed and Julia Strode Bartley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Iva Jean Bartley, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Mr. Bartley worked in telephone line construction and was an employee of Kelly & Wilmore Co. He attended the Church of Christ. He is survived by 1 daughter, Connie Bartley of Glasgow; 3 sons Michael Bartley (Betty) of Edmonton, Mark Bartley (Teresa) of Park City and Joseph Bartley (Donna) of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren Christina Simmons (Jason), Chris Bartley (Christie), Cody Bartley (Mandy) Tabitha Bartley (Brandon) and Megan Bartley; 5 step grandchildren Trevor and Taylor Witty, Tanner Burris, Samantha Jo Vibbert and Amanda Allen;7 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren and 2 sisters Edith Page of Tompkinsville and Nelda Whitworth of Louisville. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm Saturday.
